Hi, all:

A good morning for yard birds. A pair of Cassin's finches showed up this
morning - my first for this year. There was a pine sisken at the feeder; I
haven't seen one for a couple of months. My red-winged blackbird count is up
to about 30. My 3 redpolls are still hanging around. The temp goes up to
35-40o in the daytime but it's still between 8-12o when I get up in the
morning. One of my pairs of hairies are now feeding together at one of the
suet blocks instead of chasing eachother away so I almost feel spring is
just about here. Of course, the valley is still covered in snow and we might
get more this weekend but that's a mere detail!
