Subject: Greater or Lesser Yellowlegs?

Hi Tweets,
Today I saw four birds that I would describe as "Lesser Yellowlegs" in the
mud flats at low tide off Mud Bay just outside of Olympia. They were
definitely "yellowlegs", but how can one differentiate greater from lesser
if we only see one size? They looked pretty small to me, and "dainty" or
"delicate" as Sibley describes them. I know they are not as common around
here, but certainly a possibility. I've seen other "yellowlegs" in previous
years that seemed quite a bit larger than the ones I observed today.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks.
