About 10 years ago, while I was still living in Burbank, Ca. and visiting my
parents in Olympia, I was sitting with Dad and watching both B-c and C-b
Chickadees at the feeder. I remarked to Dad that I sure wish I had them in
my yard at home. Dad's reply was, "I'll trade you 10 of these for a pair of
your Mockingbirds." Had he lived another few years he would be pleased to
see them in his adopted home.

Having grown up with these guys in Texas, I feel confident you can say that
just
about any imaginable noise is a normal noise for a mockingbird. You can
practically
identify them by "call" by just noting two things: slender shape hidden in
or perched
on top of thick bush; and "strange" noise that catches you by surprise,
emanating
from said bush (of course this works better in the south than here).
