Thanks for the help. However, my problem is more basic. It's that the flock
of 20 to 30 siskins, for example, are in two or three trees and they keep
flitting from the trees to the feeders and back or into other trees so that
it doesn't seem possible to "count" them individually. How do I know I didn't
count that one before? So, the problem is the more basic one of how do I get
the exact number of siskins present at one time? Is the count really just an
estimate?
