In response to other questions about equipment I created a page at my site
about photography techniques.http://birdcentral.net/photo.htm It is still
relatively new and untested.

I think the most expensive part of bird photography for me now is the time
commitment. I just don't have a whole day to invest in the possiblity of
getting a shot. And my knees, and wrists and ankles don't respond as well as
they used to anymore.
