Hello Tweeters,
Started my informal neighbourhood bird survey this morning. Did not get very
far because of the weather. The notebook and binocs were just getting too
wet! Needless to say, there were not many birds around anyway. Before I
quit, I did see Green-winged Teal, Mallards, a Bewick's Wren, Red-winged
Blackbirds, Starlings, Hooded Mergansers and Common Mergansers. I'm hoping
to continue the survey tomorrow, probably in the afternoon because I have a
VNHS (Vancouver Natural History Society) field trip to go to (Brunswick
Point in Ladner). I love looking for birds, even if they are ones I've seen
a million times before! Anyway, I'll let you know what transpires tomorrow.
For now, good birding,
