A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was near Dalton Lake, Franklin Co WA on 16 Feb
according to Phil Bullard and reported by Dennis Rockwell. The bird was in
the Big Flat Habitat Management Unit in an area east of the windmill. The
Unit is northeast of Dalton Lake, which is just north of the Snake River and
south of the Pasco-Kahlotus Road. WA DeLorme 40, B-2.

Eight LONG-TAILED DUCKS were on Wanapum Lake at Vantage, Kittitas Co WA on
18 Feb according to Scott Ray. He observed the birds from the east end of
Wayne Street in Vantage. WA DeLorme 52, A-1.

A WESTERN SCRUB-JAY was first seen at Chief Timothy SP west of Clarkston,
Asotin Co WA on 20 Feb according to Dick Johnson. Dick found the bird again,
today, 22 Feb. It was located just east of Chief Timothy SP lagoon. To reach
the spot, park in the small parking area on the north side of US 12 just
east of the east end of the lagoon, and walk the trail through raspberry
bushes, then grassland to the trees at the east end of a second smaller
lagoon. WA DeLorme 43, A-7.

Two LESSER GOLDFINCHES were seen at Hells Gate SP south of Lewiston, Nez
Perce Co ID last week by Remko Duursma. The park is south of town along
Snake River Avenue right along the Snake River. At the park, proceed as far
south as possible, continue south through the camping area and stay on the
trail by the river until you get near the basalt cliffs. The birds were
working in the hackberries along the river. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.

Two SNOWY OWLS were seen 21 Feb on the east end of Morrison Road, just where
it jogs south, then east into Detour Road west of Reardan, Lincoln Co WA
according to Gene Lynch. WA DeLorme 88, C-1.
