Similar to Cliff Drake's request, I am interested in tracking down
photographs of songbirds. I am illustrating a field guide to Olympic
Peninsula birds and would like permission to use photographs from which I
can make accurate illustrations. At this point, I am interested in songbird
photographs, particularly those which show the bird in an unusual or
intriguing posture (preening, anting, drinking, flight, adults feeding
young, etc.) Close-ups of heads, feet, bills, and eyes are particularly
beneficial. Since this is not a field guide, a static side silhouette of a
bird is less useful.

If your picture is utilized in the composition, I will gratefully
acknowledge your contribution and provide you with an autographed copy of
the illustration.

Any thoughts on photographers who you think might consent to my utilizing
their collection in this fashion would be appreciated.
