Today (Sat. 2/23) from 11:30 a.m. until early afternoon I observed many ruby
and gold-crowned kinglets, juncos, Bewick and winter wrens, black-capped
chickadees, a brown creeper, piliated woodpecker, N. flicker, fox and song
sparrows, N. harrier and bald eagle, white and golden-crowned sparrows.
Among the golden-crown sparrows was a white-throated sparrow a little ways
out on the dike. I saw 4 bald eagles, a N. harrier, lots of GBH's, great
v-formations of snow geese and large (30) flock of tree swallows hawking
insects overhead.
