Wednesday, February 20, 8:13 PM. Hi. This is Tom Aversa, 782-7342. Trip
today, Seattle Audubon Trip up to Snohomish area. The adult GYRFALCON is
still on the Snohomish- Monroe Road, just south of Snohomish or just east of
Snohomish. Tough to see though, we only had it in the late afternoon. Also
had a flock of REDPOLLS in the Everett area near the boat launch on River
Road. Also in the Tualco [?] area there was that real pretty intergrade [?]
like HARLAN'S type RED-TAIL right near the Two Rivers Management Area.

Thursday, February 21, 10:28 AM. Hi. This is Tom Aversa calling from the
Sammish Flats. Steve Gerstall and I had a male FALCATED DUCK out toward
Sammish Island, probably within a few hundred yards of Sammish Island. The
bird is with a huge flock of WIGEON, there's at least 50 EURASIAN WIGEONS
with the flock. The flock has been flushed several times by EAGLES etc. and
moved further down towards Sammish Island. So, I'm going to head back and
look for it. But, it's there. Good luck.

Thursday, February 21, 4:32 PM. Hello. This is Kraig Kemper, (206)
789-9255, reporting for Thursday, February 21. At 3:30 PM in Skagit Co.,
Rachel Lawson and I relocated the FALCATED DUCK reported by Tom Aversa
earlier today. The bird was seen in the same general area with AMERICAN
WIGEON, EURASIAN WIGEON a few PINTAIL and GREEN-WINGED TEAL. We watched the
bird for a time. We last saw it at 4:10 PM when it left the area headed
toward Padilla Bay over the dike. Thank you.

Thursday, February 21, 5:39 PM. Hi. This is Stephen Mlodinow. Got at the
[field spot ?]
apparently too late having heard Kraig Kemper's report which is the
[preceding] one. Got
up to the Sammish Island spot about 5 PM. The numbers of WIGEONS were
greatly reduced compare to what Tom Aversa reported. The tide was low and I
suspect a lot of the birds were feeding out on Padilla Bay. There was an
EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL at that location still present and about 10
EURASIAN WIGEON. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

Sunday, February 24, 6:46 PM. Hello. This is Kraig Kemper, (206) 789-9255,
reporting for Sunday, February 23. In Kititas Co. south of Vantage along
Hunzinger Road, Kathy Kemper and I located one SAY'S PHOEBE between Wanapum
SP and Getty's Cove on the west or high side of the road, two CHUKAR located
below Wanapum Dam - again on the west or high side of the road, as many as 6
ROCK WRENS located along the road.
Along the old Vantage Highway several SAGE SPARROWS in the Quilomene
Wildlife Area and also one COMMON REDPOLL loosely associating with 15
HOUSE FINCH and 45 HORNED LARK in the same general area.
And, east of Cle Elum along state route 10 at the Teanaway River Bridge,
one
AMERICAN DIPPER collecting nesting material.
