Congratulations to MARV BREECE! He is featured in a giant two-page article
in today's B section of the Seattle PI. It is believed that he set a record
for a Big Year in Washington. He saw a phenomenal 359 species in the state
this year, capping the list off by seeing the Black Phoebe down on the
Columbia River in SW Washington yesterday.
Marv is a great guy, enthusiastic, and sharing of his knowledge with all of
us birders. The article stated that he planned his trips and did this great
feat while having a full-time job. Marv credited the help that he received
from Tweeters, Ken Knittle, and many other birders and folks in Washington
State.
