The birds of the year for me would be the increasing variety of birds I
have been able to attract to my yard, even with the bland landscape my
unimaginative landlords have forced upon it.

I was quite ecstatic to have a Bewick's Wren visit my yard three times in
the past two weeks.

These simple sights of siskens, bushtits, wrens, woodpeckers, bushtits and
other birds bring me great joy.
