I spent the morning at the Nisqually NWR and was able to tally 48
species even though the morning hours it drizzled on and off, (mostly
on), then turned to a constant rain by late morning and never let up. It
still was a good soggy day to kick in the new year. Here's a few species
seen today.

Tundra Swan - 3
American Bittern - 1
Virginia Rail - 1
Common Snipe - 1
Varied Thrush - 1
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
Purple Finch - 7
Yellow Rumped Warbler - 4
Lincoln's Sparrow - 2
Fox Sparrow - 5
Great Horned Owl - 1
Cooper's Hawk - 1
Peregrine Falcon - 2 (Seen at the same time)
