Greetings all,

An update on the Pelagic schedule for winter 2002. The January 19th trip
has been sold out for quite some time now, but for those of you still in
search of a winter pelagic, we still have room on the February 16th trip.
The February trip should have just as much potential for rarities as the
january trip, and should be just as good for the winter visitors like Laysan
Albatross and Short-tailed Shearwater. So those of you who tried to sign up
for the january trip and couldn't, there is still hope and still good
pelagic birding out there for you to experience in February! Winter trips
the past two seasons have yielded both Shy Albatross and Short-tailed
Albatross, and almost any rarity is a possibility. Winter is probably the
best time to get Mottled Petrel aswell.

Hope to see some of you on the boat.
Cost of the trip is 85 dollars. e-mail Phil Anderson at pmand at techline.com
to sign up.

Visit www.westportseabirds.com for more information.

On and a personal side note, I uploaded some pelagic photos from a research
cruise I did this summer off San Diego. Its still a work in progress, so
disregard the typos ;-)

cheers and good birding
