Tweets,

You can tell what 2002 will be like for me with this rapid posting of my
first sighting of the year. Things have got to slow down!

Tuesday when I finally dragged myself out of bed, I glanced at my feeders
expecting a junco, pine siskin or (heaven forbid) a house sparrow, but saw
nothing! Not the first time this has happened, but I wondered if I could find
the reason for no activity. I stepped out on the patio and scanned the trees.
Yes! There was an immature SHARP-SHINNED HAWK in the top of a doug fir
surveying the scene looking for breakfast! He was followed closely by a fly
over CROW. Sure was a lot better first bird of the year then a house sparrow.

Hope 2002 brings you success and happiness and life birds in abundance.
