Hi Barry, As far as I know the Ivory Gull was last reported on the Ladner
CBC, which was on Dec.23, as it flew from the infamous barge at the Coal
Port Jetty. It may turn up again soon, but who knows, as that was 19 days in
our region already, and it may have gotten itchy wings for the North!!?
Reifel has had at least one saw-whet around this winter, being located off
and on, also 2 black-crowned night herons, a northern goshawk, a no. of
sandhill cranes, snow geese, great-horned and barred owl, one snowy owl a
few weeks back and other goodies you may already have heard about. Also, we
saw a gyrfalcon on the south end of 64thSt. in Delta on New years day. Hope
this helps, have a good weekend....Randy Findlay , Burnaby, B.C.
