Subject: Rufous Hummingbird migration 2002

As hard as it may be to believe, Rufous Hummingbirds will
start moving in 4-5 weeks. An over wintering male Rufous
was reported here in Astoria last week.
I will be tracking the spring migration again at:

There are a few holes in the migratory pathway that I'd
like to fill in, especially in North California. There is
also a curious anomolous pattern along coastal British
Columbia (some northern detections ahead southern ones)
which may or may not have something to do with coastal
micro-climates and micro-habitats.
