To get to Two Rivers WMA from Monroe, from Rt. 2, go south on Lewis Street to Tualco Rd. and turn right. Follow Tualco (don't turn left at the red Swiss Grange) until you come to the parking area for the WMA on the right. The best birding here, this time of the year, is along the periphery of the fields which are bordered by blackberry brambles, and along the row of conifers that splits the cornfields. Crowned sparrows and others forage at the edges of the fields darting back to the safety of the brambles when alarmed. White-throated sparrows are almost a sure thing here. Also, the woods to the west can be productive.
There is another parking area to the south. Continue south on Tualco past the Prison Farm to the parking area. You can reach the fields and the woods beyond by crossing the small lake on the boardwalk that is north from the parking lot. One other spot should be checked. The road between the Swiss Grange and the north parking lot crosses Riley slough. At the small bridge white-throats are possible, and several years ago (1988?) there were two or three rusty blackbirds at the slough.

Can anyone tell me how to find the " Two Rivers Wildlife Manegment area"
in the Monroe area? I hear so much about this area and would like to do some
birding there this weekend but can't find it. I looked in the DeLorme guide
as well as on the WEB with no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks Brad
