Since the weekend is coming up, I figured I'd reassure anyone considering a
trip over that the Warbler is still very much alive and well. He shows up
at least once an hour or so to gobble mealworms. In addition, the question
of Hoary or Common Redpoll is still very much up in the air. Several have
said probably, no one has said yes for sure. I had a second hand report of
a Hawk Owl down by Carlton, but no one I know has verified it. If I find
out different, I'll pass the word. The weather has been cooperative the
last couple of days, sunny all day yesterday, a little snow this morning,
the clear and sunny this afternoon. No telling what tomorrow will be like.
And I used to think the weather in Seattle was unpredictable. Had a Flicker
pay a visit to my feeder area today, I know they're common in the area, but
this is the first time one has checked things out. Looked like a B-52 mixed
in with the Goldfinches and Redpolls, not used to seeing them that close.
Guess that's all for now, have a nice weekend.
