While walking the wonder dog this morning, we were treated to the sudden
arrival of about 16-18 Evening Grosbeaks in one of the ornamental maple
trees that borders our apt. complex. These are the first I've seen in the
area in a few weeks, and the first I've had land next to me in a while.
Wonderful site.

Yesterday, I had a flock of siskins go over, somewhat paralleling the
reappearance of siskins at some Willamette Valley feeders. The mountain
birds seem to be moving a bit right now.
