Today from 1:00 to 2:00 pm I and Wendy Roedell and Dave Baker, later joined by Doug Marshall observed a mixed flock that contained 20-30 Common Redpolls at the NE point of Foster Island. They were foraging in Birch trees in soft winter sunlight. The redpolls were consorting with Pine Siskins, American Goldfinches, Black-capped Chickadees and both Kinglets. They were very cooperative.
