January 10, 2001, Thursday, 7:50 p.m. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. Today I
went to the Everett Sewage ponds and had a SWAMP SPARROW and a COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT. The SWAMP SPARROW appeared to be an adult. It was on the
east side, about a third of the way along the large pond. The COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT was an adult male, and it was at the northeast corner. That's
it. Good birding.

January 14, 2001, Monday, 8:38 a.m. Hi, this is Judy Duvall at (206)
322-8484, reporting for yesterday, January 13 up in the Skagit/Padilla Bay
area. On Norman Road, east of Marine Drive and east of the creek, I was
able to find the WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. No luck on the HARRIS SPARROW.
Just west of, just across the creek, and on the south side of the road there
is a, what I would call a winter pond up there, it was about a 150 ducks,
there was an EURASIAN WIGEON and a REDHEAD in that flock. Up north, on
Allen West and Benson Road, there's a gravel dirt road just west of Benson,
heading south it goes back to some silage area, and there's a small wetland
back there, I was able to relocate the male WILSON'S WARBLER that was seen
on the Padilla Christmas count. The only other thing of note is the PRAIRIE
FALCON was at the north end of Bayview Road, sort of at that intersection
between, it was between the West 90 and East 90, and there was a SHORT-EARED
OWL flying at the West 90. That's it. Enjoy. Good birding.
