Hi Tweeters,

The Peregrin falcons seen by Kenneth Brown on the south side of the Warren
Ave. bridge in Bremerton were probably the pair that have been known to nest
under the bridge. There is also a Pelagic cormorant roosting site under the
bridge. The best view of this area can be obtained from the Lower Rota Vista
Park at the foot of Elizabeth St on the southeast side of the bridge. The
Kitsap Audubon Board enetered into a partnership with the Bremerton Parks
Dept. to install steps with a handrail down the steep slope to make the
water level of this Park more accessible. A good view up under the bridge
can be had from this area as well as another view of Port Washington
Narrows. The Falcon Research Group in Seattle is aware of this site.
