Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday January 17. If you have anything to add call

A BRAMBLING is now coming to a feeder at the junction of Foley Drive and
Lone Pine road north of Burns. The feeders can be seen from the roadway.

The Bay City YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER has been relocated coming to suet
feeders near the west end of Ocean Street.

A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK is now coming to a feeder in Seaside. The two
ORCHARD ORIOLES are still being seen at Gregory Lane and Oceanview Drive
south of Brookings. The GYRFALCON continues to be seen near Perrydale.

The number of TREE and BARN SWALLOW reports are now increasing in western
Oregon.

Three RUDDY TURNSTONES and a ROCK SANDPIPER were at Bandon January 14.
Four EMPEROR GEESE are still at Coos Bay near Point Adams. A BARROW'S
GOLDENEYE is nearby at Pigeon Point. On January 9 a COMMON REDPOLL was in
a flock of PINE SISKINS south of Newport. The BULLOCK'S ORIOLE is still
coming to a Seaside feeder.

A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was on Clatsop Beach north of the Del Rey Beach Access
January 13. The ROSS'S GOOSE is still being seen on Sunset Lake south of
Warrenton. The SNOWY OWL continues on the rackline at the north end of
Trestle Bay near the South Jetty of the Columbia River.

On September 15 a HARRIS'S SPARROW was at Walton Beach on the east side
of Sauvie Island. A second MOCKINGBIRD is now in Portland near SE. 92d
and Foster Road. A GLAUCOUS GULL is on the Portland waterfront north of
the west end of the Steel Bridge. Another was reported January 11 from
the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove.

On January 15 up to 150 CANVASBACK were at Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro. A
flock of REDPOLLS was seen January 10 near Barlow Pass on the east side
of Mt. Hood.

The three AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS are still being seen where the
powerlines cross Livermore Road north of Baskett Slough NWR. On January
16 two TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS were west of Perrydale. A FERRUGINOUS HAWK
is now being seen south of Rickeal along Clow Corners Road east of
Highway 99W. Another was reported January 12 three miles south of
Independence. The PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER is still near Tangent. A
CLAY-COLORED SPARROW and a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT were near Brownsville
January 15.

Two HERMIT WARBLERS are now being seen in Eugene. The EURASIAN
GREEN-WINGED TEAL are still at the Creswell Sewage Ponds.

Two BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were at Athena, north of Pendleton January 12. A
flock was in LaGrande January 11. On January 14 a mixed flock of AMERICAN
GOLDFINCHES and REDPOLLS was at Malheur NWR north of the P Ranch.
