Tweets,
Today my wife and I spent most of the morning and afternoon
birding the Brady Loop, and Vance Creek Park area. The weather was crummy
at best with visability 100ys or less in a light drizzle and avery low
ceiling. Best birds were 5 TRUMETER SWANS near Vance Creek Park, 1 NORTHERN
SHRIKE on the park loop trail, along with 2 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS in the
same area. Brady Loop had 1 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK (light phase female), 4
RED-TAILED HAWKS, 200 NORTHERN PINTAILS, 15 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS along with
8 DUNLIN along Foster Road, plus 12 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS and 1
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW at the south junction of Foster and Brady Loop road.
There is lot of water in the fields so there could be good shorebird
potential during spring migration.
Thats all, good birding,
Doug Watkins
