I've added pictures to the "birds" web page (http://home.attbi.com/~krmcallister/birds.htm)
which, to my mind anyway, represent Thayer's Gulls. I got several recommendations for
Goglehite Wetland (Tacoma) as a place to find Thayer's Gulls. I think that's what I found and
photographed. Some features, like the deep pink legs, don't show up in these pictures.
The supposedly more rounded head seems very subtle and not recognizeable at all in some
pictures. However, the slightly smaller bill (relative to Herring, Western, Glaucous-winged,
hybrids), is noticeable.
