Hello Tweeters and Clarice,
After all the respond i had on Tweeters from my message that most all my
birds feeding on Suet.
We had the Hutton's Vireo again comming to the Suet feeder twice with all
the other birds.
Here is my recipe for the Suet i make.
Morrell Snow Cap Lard 2LB (lighly melted)
1cup of creamy Peanut Butter
2 cups of Corn meal
3 cups of Oats (quick)
4 cups of Planters Peanuts(unsalted finly grinded in Oscar)
Thicken up with some flowers.
Stir all together.
I use 6 1/2 oz tuna cans
Fill cans and put in freezer to get hard.
When i need the cake i defrost it lighly and i use a knife to get the suet
out, than put it back in freezer to use it as needed.
I think the grinded up peanuts what makes this suet so good.
We having lot's of birds using the suet again. The Hummingbird start flying
on to the suet feeder, almost hitting the Red-breasted Nuthatch who was
feeding on the Suet.

Goog birding and watching you feeders.
