Tweets,
This afternoon I tried Iooking for the Common Redpolls the
Sullivans reported finding at Port Gamble Sunday, but no luck. I suspect
they move around quite a bit typical of Winter Pine Siskins. However, in a
fir tree in the cemetery on top of the hill was an adult PEREGRINE FALCON,
which was very rewarding and certainly made up for the lack of Redpolls.
Checking my records, this is only my 2nd record of a Peregrine in Kitsap
County. They don't appear to be rare in the county but can be hard to find.
Good birding,
Doug Watkins
