Jim and Tweets-

We have had 4 different sightings of Peregrines (at least two distinct
birds) near Carnation at Sikes Lake since late November. Typically, we
will have 5-10 sightings in the area during a winter.

Subject: Eastside peregrine?

I had a nice naked-eye look at a peregrine falcon on the Microsoft campus in
Redmond this morning. I saw it flapping toward me and climbing -- it had
either been flying very low or had been on the ground -- and it then tacked
to its left, affording me an excellent view of the classic falcon shape from
a range of 30-40 yards. It seemed too dark underneath from that range, even
on a very gray day, to be a prairie falcon, and was easily too big to be a
merlin or kestrel.

Has anybody else seen a peregrine on the Eastside this winter?
