I headed north with Don and Cynthia Calbrick today from Moses Lake up SR 17
and SR 155 through the Grand Coulee to the dam and back via SR 174 to Leahy
Junction and SR 17, with a loop west at Sims Corner and down Road L to US 2.
Briefly checked the Electric City redpoll spot, but it was pretty windy,
birdless, and no thistle feeder hanging in the back yard.

Birds of interest were a Townsend's Solitaire at the Dry Falls Interpretive
Center, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers at Coulee City, a Gyrfalcon at MP 11
(about midway between Coulee Dam and Leahy) on SR 174, a Prairie Falcon on
SR 17 a mile north of Sims Corner, and Common Redpolls and American Tree
Sparrows at two spots along Road L NE (Woods Rd in DeLorme) south of SR 172.
One redpoll had clean white undertail coverts and very fine streaking on the
sides, but my look was too short to see other important features.
