Columbia Estuary Report - 01/26/2002

It has been snowing on and off again all morning with about
an inches on the ground (yeah, there's a lot more east of
the Cascades, but this is a big deal for those of us who live
at sea level).

I went out to the mitigation bank and King Avenue (mostly so
I could check the snow box on the report to birdnotes.net).
There were lots of BUSHTITS and BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES, but
mostly it was quiet. The ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK is still on King
Avenue as were 4 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS.

The BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was in front of the Dairy Queen again
this morning as well.
