Tweets,

Nancy and I birded Crescent Lake/Two Rivers WRA at Highrock, between Duvall
and Monroe this morning before the snow returned. Along Tualco Loop Rd. we
watched an immature dark GYRFALCON circling repeatedly over a flock of
pigeons, then watched it break off the chase and cruise south. We followed
at ca. 40 mph in our car all the way to the prison farm pond before losing
sight of it. Not much later, we spotted the adult pale gray phase GYR
perched in the bare snag opposite the Westwind Farms barn along Old
Snohomish Monroe Rd. A truly elegant bird. Some 25 TRUMPETER SWANS nearby.
Finally, a pair of REDHEADS at the Snohomish Sewage Ponds.
