FYI, two interesting sightings in the South End (Seattle) today. A flock of ~15 common redpolls was hanging out in our backyard atop a tall birch on Sunday morning, then headed off (we live in Upper Rainier Beach). Interestingly, we had failed to catch them both times we'd slogged through the rain at the Arboretum, so it was nice to train the scope on them while sipping coffee in the dining room.

Second, a walk atop Seward Park this morning (Sunday 1/27) yielded a handful of Townsend's warblers. This is the earliest I've seen them in the city, and wondered what others' experience with them has been. Thanks!
