Tweets - Just a quick note on birds etc. around the house on these last two
snowy days. There's been quite a bit of bird activity.

We live on a horse acre with pasture and pines, about 1/4 mile northeast of
Bridle Trails State Park. Most of the neighborhood is similar, but with Doug
Fir, birch, or cottonwoods at the edges of the pastures. Overall it is quite
an open feel around here.

Over the last 2 days, I've seen 25 species (18 from the house) including a
TOWNSEND'S WARBLER today in the yard, and FOX SPARROW, GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW,
and CALIFORNIA QUAIL when I've been out walking.

I also found at least 2 ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS at a house with a hummingbird
feeder near here. This is the first time I've seen (or even heard of) an
Anna's Hummingbird anywhere northeast of the intersection of SR 520 and I-405.

And today, around 3:30, a COYOTE trotted the length of our pasture, the first
one we've seen in the yard.
