Hello Tweeters,
I am a new member, name Laura and I reside in Ladner (home of the 152 count
CBC; I participated in!). Had quite a bit of snow yesterday, but the only
birds our feeders attracted were BLack-capped Chickadees, House Finches,
some sort of Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco, Starling, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy
Woodpecker, and Mourning Dove. I was surprised we did not have any Bushtits.
Have had a couple of Pileated Woodpeckers hanging around the last week or
so. Also see the occasional Bald Eagle and Red-tail Hawks in the cottonwoods
across the street. The sloughs are pretty empty except for about 8 Coots.
Will go out birding tomorrow to see what I can find.
