I checked out the sound at Mukilteo early this afternoon (I'm learning to
identify the gulls :-) and observed two ducks that appeared to me to be
female Harlequin (but, without a scope I wouldn't say absolutely); they were
riding the choppy water with their heads tucked back. In one of the small
leafless trees lining the parking lot at Buzz Inn on Front Street 8 Bushtits
were foraging and twittering in typical Bushtit fashion.
At my small newly-hung feeder, two Chestnut-backed and several Black-capped
Chickadees are frequent visitors along with a few juncos. I have observed
one Red-breasted Nuthatch in the trees.
