Sightings for Tuesday, January 29th

The usual group of COMMON REDPOLLS was at the south end of the Iona
Causeway. Nearby, on North Dyke Road, at the junction of two ditches to the
northeast of the northeast corner of the airport was a HOARY REDPOLL among
COMMON REDPOLLS. 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS were also in the airport area.

The WESTERN SCRUB JAY continues to be seen at its McDonald Place, Port
Coquitlam location between Rodger Avenue and Routley Avenue.

In the 25300 block of 80th Avenue in Glen Valley were a HERMIT THRUSH and a
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. Nearby, at Derby Reach Park was a HUTTON'S VIREO.

Sightings for Monday, January 28th

The WESTERN SCRUB JAY was again seen at its Port Coquitlam location.

At Como Creek, near Silvercity in Coquitlam was a GREEN HERON.

In the 25300 block of 80th Avenue in Glen Valley was a HERMIT THRUSH.

Three BAND-TAILED PIGEONS were in Richmond on Ash Street between Blundell
and Granville.

At Alaksen Wildlife Area on Westham Island were a CEDAR WAXWING, an
AMERICAN
PIPIT and A BARRED OWL.

Sightings for Sunday, January 27th

COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at 230th Street in Maple Ridge and at 106th
Avenue
and 148th Street in Surrey.

At Lost Lagoon, there were 3 male RING-NECKED DUCKS.

Sightings for Saturday, January 26th

The WESTERN SCRUB JAY continues to be seen at its McDonald Place, Port
Coquitlam location between Rodger Avenue and Routley Avenue.

COMMON REDPOLLS are once again being reported from what seems like
everywhere. Several were at Lost Lagoon and also in the Lougheed Mall area
as well as Mission.

Sightings for Friday, January 25th

The WESTERN SCRUB JAY was again seen at its Port Coquitlam location. Also in
this area was a COMMON REDPOLL.

COMMON REDPOLLS were also reported from near Lougheed Mall in Burnaby, from
the 6900 block of Bradner Road in Abbotsford and at 106th Avenue and 148th
Street in Surrey.

Sightings for Thursday, January 24th

A MUTE SWAN was seen in a field of TUNDRA SWANS off of River Road near 68th
Avenue in Delta.

In a late report from January 22nd, a YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD made a visit
to a feeder in the No. 1 Road and Williams area of Richmond. It was in the
company of RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS.
