A few days ago, there was a brief (legal- I hope) thread about using
hand held recorders for collection of BIRD related data in the field. I
am wondering if people have any experience with using them in the
rain. Are they generally at least water resistant?
A friend of mine bought one (Handspring) with a GPS unit that fits
into a slot on the top, but he is afraid to take it out if it's raining, even
briefly, to get a reading. would appreciate any experiences.
