January 25, 2002, Friday, 5:07 p.m. Hi, Robert Howson here (425) 485-0226.
For the last two or three days I've had a pair of TOWNSEND WARBLERS coming
to my feeder, both a male and a female. Not terribly rare, but maybe a
little bit unusual this time of year. Enjoy.

January 26, 2002, Saturday, 6:35 p.m. Hi, this is Steve Mlodinow. Today
Bill Tweit and I birded from the Hood Canal to Ediz Hook. Had a
YELLOW-BILLED LOON, adult basic plumage at Salisbury Park on the east side
of Hood Canal. We had a slight colored-type FOX SPARROW at Blyn, where the
creek crosses a road that's nearest to the bay. We had a GLAUCOUS GULL at
Schmuck Road at the dairy. We also had a WHIMBREL at Ediz Hook and at TREE
SPARROW along Schmuck Road towards its northern terminus on the east side of
the road. That's it. Good luck and good birding.

January 26, 2002, Saturday, 9:07 p.m. This is Alan Grenon. This afternoon
Michael Donahue and I found in Cle Elum, Washington, PINE GROSBEAKS with a
flock of about 38 or more at 4th and Harris in, sometimes in the three large
Mountain Ash trees there. We also found a little bit later in Roslyn, at
1st Street and Arizona, a flock of 13 PINE GROSBEAKS higher up in some
trees. And between those sightings, in the alley between 2nd and 3rd, just
east of Stafford in Cle Elum, a flock of 27 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS. My phone
number is (206) 709-7435.

January 27, 2002, Sunday, 10:22 p.m. Hi, Robert Howson (425) 485-0226. The
REDPOLL invasion still continues. I saw again a group in a mixed flock at
Juanita Bay Park. The first time I have seen them there, mixed in with a
group of SISKINS. Enjoy.
