After reading Charles Swift's report to IN NW on migrating shorebirds I
decided to check out East Bay in downtown OLY. I had heard a "peep" call on
06/30 after dark, and thought maybe they might have stayed in the area. At
a moderately high tide on July 1st there was a GREATER YELLOWLEGS foraging
along the East Bay DR side of East Bay. It was in a worn alternate plumage,
with the back having less of the dramatic black/white spotting.
