For a couple of days now I've seen a Rufous Hummingbird seemingly seek nector
from the back of a male House Finch. It doesn't appear to be harrassment
since the finch keeps on feeding while the hummingbird hovers over it. This
particular hummer is curious about everything. She sticks her head into the
tube feeder, tries the thistle feeder, circles the House Finch before coming
in close to his back, before moving on to the hummingbird feeder. I wonder
what she'd do if the male Purple Finch was at the tube feeder?
