Hey tweets, Just a quick note because we really need four internet lines
into this house to satisfy all the people who want to get online and are
standing over my shoulder, watching me make numerous typing mistakes. But I
wanted to tell you that the Fill was popping today. I saw the fall's first
western sandpiper on the main pond. Also present: both Anna's and rufous
hummers; the orioles are still eating those berries I mentioned before,
there were 14 blue-winged teals on the main pond, and a ruddy duck. Also,
an osprey fished the bay at dusk, accompanied by a bald eagle - the two
were not cooperating at all. FYI, the rufous hummingbird attacked a cheeky
crow, who had the temerity to eat a berry near the hummer's flower. Of all
the nerve. It was amusing to see the crow duck its head and fly off without
a murmur. - Connie, Seattle
