My husband and I were outside on our porch, me with my camera, he with his
video. We were sipping coffee and semi-lamenting the lack of activity, when
out of the corner of my eye, I saw something moving in our neighbor's yard.
We grabbed our cameras and ran out into our yard, and there he was - a black
bear!!

I ran to call the wildlife authorities, while my husband ran to warn
neighbors to our right. Our yard is separated from the neighbors on our left
by a stream that opens up into Pine Lake. The bear, who had moved about three
yards away from ours, suddenly swan across the stream and came into our yard.
He got between my husband and our house, but he was definitely the more
scared of the two. Steven just kept his eye on the bear and slowly edged his
way back onto the porch, and the bear lumbered off.

WOW! What an amazing experience. And best of all, we got the shots, photos
and video!!
