Visited the North Seattle Community College Pond and there are more Wood
Ducks
than I've seen in some time, thanks for the heads up Catherine Anstett.
This is great news given all the construction and
disruption the last few years. And indeed there are wee ones.
Well, not so wee anymore, but now to find where they nested!

Also, the pied billed grebes and their punk children show off in the
middle of the pond.
And what i think were mallard babies, too far down on the other end to be

absolutely positive, but that's about all they could be.
The gadwalls, which have been prolific in the last few years, were
barely to be seen.

Also baby black capped chickadees in the north green space. Getting about
that time
we might see some flycatchers in that area also.
