Wow! Aplodontia IS it!! Finally. I spent quite a while today reading
about everything from regular beavers to muskrat. This one is just right,
except "mine" has ears that are more cinnamon-colored, but they're very
delicate as in the one in the picture posted by Kevin. Maybe THAT's who ate
my fresh coriander plant right down to the ground. Thanks! everyone for the
help.
