A male COMMON GRACKLE was in Othello, Adams Co WA on 3 Jul according to
Randy Hill. The bird was on the lawn in front of the Taggares office. Go
north on Broadway (west side of Othello) to just south of the McCain potato
processing plant. odd "song" that is a combination between high-pitched
squeek and whistle. WA DeLorme 51, D-5.

A female HARLEQUIN DUCK was on the Lochsa River in ID at US 12 milepost 142
on 3 Jul according to Keith Carlson. The bird was about 0.5 mile below the
Mocus Point pack bridge.

A BLUE JAY was along US Forest Service Road 301 about 5 miles east of
Clarkia, Shoshone Co ID. It was seen by Terry and Christine Gray along the
east fork of the St Maries River just before Flewsie Creek enters the St
Maries. ID DeLorme 59, AB-4.

Keith Carlson reports the thunderstorms of the early morning hours of 8 Jul
deposited some great birds at Mann Lake east of Lewiston, Nez Perce Co ID.
On 8 Jul Keith found 2 male LONG-TAILED DUCKS in intermediate eclipse
plumage, 2 EARED GREBES, 25 MARBLED GODWITS, 23 AMERICAN AVOCETS, 46 WESTERN
and 2 LEAST SANDPIPERS, and 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS. From the north end of
Lewiston, follow US 12 south into town, cross the Clearwater River on
Memorial Bridge and immediately take the first left (east) toward East
Lewiston. Turn left (east) onto East Main Street and go about a half mile
to the flashing yellow lights. Turn right (south) onto Lapwai (aka Lindsay
Creek) Road. When the road forks stay right on Lindsay Creek Road (Nez
Perce County Road 460) and follow it about 5 miles to its terminus at Grelle
Avenue. Turn left (east) onto Grelle Avenue and just past the sharp right
curve, turn left (east) onto East Powers Avenue (aka Lapwai Road). Continue
straight (east) past the grain towers to the main parking lot. ID DeLorme
