Have others considered the possibility that the critter was indeed a prairie
dog? The original message regarding the sighting talks about visiting a pet
shop in Marysville that sells prairie dogs. Isn't it possible that someone
bought one of the critters, took it home and it escaped to be seen scampering
across the road?
