this morning, while tortu ... er, teaching my students a few things
about spotting birds at the montlake fill, we saw three osprey
leisurely circling over husky stadium. one was carrying a fish in its
talons. one appeared to be a juvenile, however, i am not sure.

if this trio was a breeding pair and one offspring, where might they
have come from? until today, i've only seen two osprey (at the MOST)
over the montlake fill/UW campus area.
