Greetings,

This evening,9 July, I viewed a single Eurasian Collard Dove at very close
range at Wenatchee Confluence State Park. It was sitting on a power line
near the asphalt Loop Trail. Several Mourning Doves and a single Ringed
Turtle-Dove were also on the powerlines. The Ringed Turtle-Dove, a fawn
variant, was here last summer and is courting the Mourning Doves and the
Eurasian Collared-Dove.

Directions: From US 2 at Wenatchee, eastbound or westbound,
follow signs to the State Park. Park in the first parking lot which will be
on the right. Walk the asphalt trail south, go over the bridge over the
Wenatchee River. Continue south on the asphalt path for about 1/4 mile to
the interpretive station titled "Confluence Wetlands". The doves were on
power lines about 200 feet south of here.
Mosquitos has been quite bothersome here lately.
