Folks,

The 4th of July provided quite an ornithological bang for local birders in
Klickitat County. Stuart Johnston, C.J. Flick, Carol Watrous and I found
and photographed a pair of nesting American Redstarts at Trout Lake Marsh,
about 20 miles north of White Salmon.

Later that week, July 7th, Paul Moyer and Stuart Johnston located two
additional pair. We were not aware of American Redstarts breeding in
Klickitat County prior or that American Redstarts were regular residents.
This provides another meaningful addition to Stuart Johnston's 5-year,
primarily one-man breeding bird atlas effort of Klickitat County, which
also includes Northern Mockingbird.

Sorry this has take so long to get posted, but life has been hectic.
